Quality control
Hand finishing protects the physical structure of the material. Analytical control is what proves it. Both are required; neither substitutes for the other.
Every batch is tested against a written specification and released only on data. Identity, potency, water activity, microbiological limits, pesticide residues, heavy metals and foreign matter are all controlled parameters with defined acceptance criteria.
Cultivation, drying and cleanroom areas are monitored continuously by calibrated instrumentation with alarm limits. Excursions raise a deviation; deviations are investigated before the affected batch can be dispositioned.
Consistency is treated as a specification, not a marketing claim. Process parameters are trended across cycles and reviewed periodically so drift is detected before it becomes a failure.
Representative sampling plans, reference samples and retention samples are held for the required period so any released batch can be re-examined against its original data.
Chain of custody is unbroken from mother stock through cultivation, harvest, drying, finishing, testing, packing and release, to the receiving licence holder. Any unit can be traced backwards to the plants it came from.
Storage and outbound transport are controlled, monitored and documented under Good Distribution Practice, with security, temperature and handover records retained.
